Residential Care Facility

Residents of the Residential Care Facility are housed in a modern three-story structure on the southwest section of the 10.5 acre Mission Hills campus. For the convenience of the residents, each room has its own:

There are two recreation rooms and two living rooms. In addition, there is a Library/reading room which has been established for the residents to avail themselves of periodicals, historical documents, Bibles and novels written in English and/or Armenian. A Gift Shop near the main lobby displays many novel gifts and edible goods for purchase by residents, guests and visitors. A Beauty Parlor is available for hairdressing and manicure service on a weekly basis. A beautifully furnished, bright and cheerful dining room greets the residents each day as they partake of their meals.

The Chef prepares delicious Continental cuisine for the residents, including such Armenian favorites as herisseh, dolma, kufte and beoreg, as well as homemade soups and pastries. For more information, contact administrator Rita Noravian at ritan@ararathome.org.

Ararat Nursing Facility

The Residents of the Nursing Facility are cared for in a sprawling one-story structure on the east side of the campus. The 196-bed Facility features two dining rooms and landscaped courtyards.

The Facility strives to meet the individual needs of each resident and also provides ancillary therapy. Our goal is to improve the residents' condition, comfort and well being at a level of quality of life that respects their dignity and desires. The staff addresses the medical, social and emotional needs of the residents with compassion and caring within the context of Armenian activities and diet.

The Ararat Home accepts Medicare/Medi-cal and private payment sources.

Ararat Convalescent Hospital at the Eagle Rock Campus

Located in the hills of Eagle Rock, the second Ararat Home campus houses a 42-bed Convalescent Hospital located in a compact and efficient building. All skilled care services are offered under Medicare/Medi-cal. The majority of the staff at this facility, have been serving the residents since 1980. This consistency has resulted in an unuaually high quality of care which has been recognized by awards and perfect audits from the California healthcare regulatory agencies.
